Cultural Studies 295: Soft Architecture
In her manifesto for soft architecture, poet Lisa Robertson writes of form as a “bodily event.” We explore the convergence of labor, feeling, and form in built environments, looking at the fibrous, and fleshy modes of interiors, institutions, patterns, craft / handiwork, and performance. We study sensoria of labor, soft subversions, architectonics of feeling, and the distribution of race and sex in space.
